JOURNEY TO MY LIFE

Hi, I am Kailash Devkinandan Kandpal.

I landed this Universe - a beautiful creation by god on 27.06.1968 in Chembur Mumbai at 04:00am. I was born to Smt. Savitri Kandpal and Sh.Devkinandan Kandpal as their sixth child, but one of my elder brother died before my birth and the other one died after my birth in 1970, I am youngest of all.
I remember my childhood days since I was 4 years old, my father was very simple, sincere, helping nature, hard worker. He was working in Mumbai in Todi Mill but after my second brothers death he left Mumbai and joined Garware Nylons Pimpri. I remember when i was 4 years old he had a severe heart attack and was admitted in Jehangir Hospital and my mother took me and rushed to Pune as we were staying in Mumbai. Now also I remember he being admitted in ICU and with all the equipments attached to his body- I got afraid of it. Than after his health improved our family shifted from Mumbai and we came to Dehuroad in October 1974.
As we shifted to Dehuroad in the mid session, there was a lot of problem in getting admissions. All my elder sister and brother got the admission in Garrison High School Dehuroad but I couldn’t get the admission. I still remember my mother took me to KV.1 Dehuroad Pune for admission and Mrs. Lamba took my admission test and I was selected in admission test but as my Father was not in Defence  I was not given admission. After a great difficulty I got admission in Republic School Dehuroad, Ms.Joan was my First standard Class teacher. She was great loveable and caring teacher. After I std I got admission in Garrison Primary School Dehuroad. I still remember the Principal of Republic School refused to give leaving certificate and then my mother she shouted at her becoz there they used to make students work for the personal things. My II standard class teacher was Mrs. Sheela a very nice and dedicated teacher, she was even the class teacher of my niece Urvashi. Dharmendra from my class II was my first friend I remember.
During my childhood I remember I use to have a big fight with my parents during the month of June for my birthday, as I was born on 27th my parents use to say it’s last week of the month and no balance use to be left for me buying chocolates to be given in school. I also remember my father’s orthodox nature i.e. many times during any of the festivals his or my mother’s relative dies means no celebration which would hurt me alot. As a child till I was 15years old I use to have rashes in my skin during summer season and I was not allowed by my parents to go any were during summer vacations.
Till I was in seventh standard life went smoothly but God  has mended our life and on 21st August 1980 early in the morning at 5am, my father got up and was getting ready  for his duty, suddenly he got a massive heart attack and  my father passed away.
I still remember that day - no relative turned up and only because of his good work and good deed, he had done, all the work of our family went off smoothly. My mother - what to say about her, I think if i start writing or saying about her - one life will also be less. She was generous, loveable, caring.....all the good quality of adjective is less for her, i don’t believe in re-birth but I pray to god if I am being given a second chance to come to this Universe, she should be with me...... She was not educated but she was full of knowledge, even a Ph.d done person was smaller than her. She was very helpful, sincere. I always pray to god to give the same quality which she had, due to her we all her children never faced any problem and now also after she is no more - I personally feel that she is always standing aside to us and helping us in all our aspect.
At the time of my father’s death, my elder sister she was in Last year B.Sc, my elder brother was in XII and I was in VIII. My brother stopped his education and he joined my father’s company as apprentice holder becoz he was just 17 years old, than my sister she started to take tuitions in the evening and early morning and then use to go to her college at 9am, so both my brother and sisters hard work succeeded us to come out of grief. After her B.Sc she got a job and simultaneously my brother also completed his studies. And in this our days of struggling started and due to my parent’s good deed and wishes we came out.
After my sister marriage i took up with the tuitions - I was indeed inspired my friend Rama Ramachandran who was working in a company and doing her studies, she use to tell Kailash ur good in accountancy u teach me and u will get some pocket money too, she was my classmate too. By this I entered the teaching profession, I really started to love teaching, when I was in Third year graduation I got three students two from same class and one from Second year graduation.
My classes went on and I completed my graduation, by that time I also cleared my ICWA intermediate exam. I took admission in M.Com and did side by side taking tuitions. My name and fame in teaching increased a lot in Dehuroad at that time i.e. during 1989 to 1995.
I want to share one thing - as I was good in accountancy n costing and I had completed ICWA intermediate that time, I had big opposition from my sister's side, she used to force me not to join teaching profession and always we use to have fight, but I had dedication toward teaching profession so I left my ICWA course for only one Final group was left out.
I did my B.Ed from Tilak College Of Education Pune. I really thank that Institution for developing my character. Immediately after completing my B.Ed I got adhoc job in KV.1 Dehuroad and I did two years adhoc job there, I indeed was very happy when first time I got adhoc job in KV No.1 Dehuroad becoz that school didn’t gave me admission to me in Class I.
In 1995 I got a regular appointment in KVS in KV NRC, in the initial stage I was not ready for joining KV. The reason was never in my life I had been away from my home, but I was forced to join. After joining KV NRC, alot of change has occurred in me. Mean while I was trying alot to get transfer to Pune but I didn’t got it.
My mother too tried alot so that I could be transferred to Pune. My mother got a lever cancer and in her last days, I remember I was sitting to her side she said don’t worry u will get transfer when I m no more, and the same thing happened, she died on 21st June 2002 and I got transfer to Pune in April 2003.
In 2003, my priority no for Pune transfer was 28 and I was sure that I will not get transfer becoz before that many times my priority no. use to be between 2 to 8 and I couldn’t get transfer, I had lost all hopes of coming to Pune and I still remember one of our sub staff of KV NRC came running to me on 4th April 2003 saying Kailash Sir, u got a transfer to Army Area Pune.
I joined KV Army Area and use to go from Dehuroad, which was a hectic becoz at 5.40am I had to leave the house and catch the local train and go to Pune station and then catch bus to Lulanagar and from there had to walk for more than 1.5km to school, and in the evening I use to return at 4.30pm. After six month I got a mutual transfer to KV.1 Dehuroad. After my mother’s death I had hatred toward our house in Dehuroad and sold off that house and took a flat in Chinchwad. As after shifting to Chinchwad KV CME was near to I and I had applied for transfer and than in 2006 I got a transfer to KV CME Pune. And from that time I am working and enjoying my stay in KV CME Pune.
I am being blessed by a son Dhanraj, who is now 5.5years old. I thank almighty god for all the good thing, good people and wonderful life given to me. In this world almost everywhere I find and saw many (max. people) cursing their blood relations, but I can proudly say that I had a very lovely family members and no one is like them so loving, caring and helping. There is no word to express about my elder brother and my elder sister, I am far luckiest person in the Universe to have such person in my life.
I always in my life categorise the people in and around me as to like my family members, fast friends, friends and others. I am proud to state few of them as my family members, they are very special in my life, they include – Mr & Mrs Shripad Ingle, Mr & Mrs V S Patil, Mr & Mrs S S Mandavgane, Mr & Mrs Satish Srivas, Mr & Mrs S G Pitre, Mr & Mrs P V Sarkar, Mr & Mrs Raju Dhadge, Mr & Mrs Pravesh Kohli, Mr & Mrs  Raju, Mr & Mrs G S Deshmukh.
My fast friends include- A.S.Kamble, N.H.Shaikh, Deepak Meshram, Joseph Fernando, R I Siddiqui, R.N.Potdar, Rama Pathak, Ganesh Taralekar, Kiran Kulkarni and many more……..
